Before Leaving For Bali
- Fly: Air Asia, Garuda or Jetstar from oz, check kayak.com from other locations
- Alcohol: Is expensive here, so bring in some duty free at your departure airport. {1ltr limit per person – Charlie likes veuve, Josh likes canadian club!}
- Drugs: Indonesian customs surprisingly don’t like illegal things strapped to the body or stashed in bodyboard bags – unless you want to spend some time with Schapelle, don’t do it
Arriving In Bali
- 30 day Visa: You will get a visa on arrival $25USD {best to bring some usd for this}
- Airport Porters: Don’t let them take your bags – they will rip you off
- Taxis: Cost between 50,000 and 100,000rph to get to Seminyak
- Money Changers: Don’t use the ones at the airport – they will rip you off – only use ‘official money changers’
Leaving Bali
- Exit visa: 150,000rph on leaving the country
- Remember: Your departure card {unless you want to spend some time in the scary customs offices}
